Shoppers Drug Mart: Bonus Redemption Event (August 21-22)

Shoppers Drug Mart is having a Bonus Redemption Event this Saturday and Sunday, Aug 21-22, 2010. This is the first redemption event since the change in their optimum points system, if you aren't aware the values for which you can redeem changed as of July 1, 2010, and now you basically have to spend more to get points to redeem. Bonus Redemption events apply to the two highest optimum points levels, and are an awesome time to redeem because you can redeem for more $$ off than you would on a normal day. Hopefully I will get my points from the Refer a Friend in time to redeem during this event!

Here are the details:
Redeeming 50,000 Optimum points gets you $100 off (instead of $85)
Redeeming 95,000 Optimum points gets you $200 off (instead of $170)

    Hmm.. that's a lot more points for the same amount of $ (compared to the old redemption rate), isn't it?

    It was so much better back then, when 75,000 points = $150 and during bonus redemption 75,000 = $200.

    @Halifax and Rica - I know.. I hardly shop at SDM anyway but, this pretty much sucks! nice to see they are still having bonus redemption days I suppose.
