KFC's Double Down sandwich is coming to Canada later this month. I just read about it in a National Post article. Apparently this is Kentucky Fried Chicken's most successful sandwich ever. It has no bread, instead it consists of two pieces of breaded chicken, two strips of bacon, two slices of Pepper Jack processed cheese and special sauce. Apparently 47% of Canadians wanted to try this sandwich since it was released in the US last year. This is only in Canada for a limited time, October 18-Nov 14, 2010 for whatever reason, I don't know why we don't have it all the time, we have the same restaurants.
I personally think this sandwich looks absolutely disgusting and a heart attack waiting to happen. It has 540 calories and get this..1740mg of sodium. I know fast food is something to only be consumed in moderation but I am staying clear of this, KFC has always made me violently ill after I eat it.
