Shoppers Drug Mart is offering you 5000 Shoppers Optimum Bonus Points when you purchase 2 or more gift cards totaling $150 from November 6-12, 2010. This is a great offer to get some extra points if you are interested in purchasing some gift cards. When I was younger, I always thought gift cards were sorta lame gifts, it's the "I didn't know what to get you" gift. But now, realizing myself how difficult it can be to shop for certain people, gift cards can be an excellent option. Here is the fine print of this offer:
Points are issued according to the net pre-tax purchase of eligible products after redemptions and discounts and before taxes using a valid Shoppers Optimum Card®. Points to be awarded to your account by Friday, November 19, 2010 for eligible transactions. Calculation excludes Shoppers Optimum® MasterCard® points. Not to be used in conjunction with any other Shoppers promotion or offer. Gift or financial cards may not be used to purchase additional gift or financial cards. Bonus points will not be issued for transactions in which a gift card or a financial card is used as tender to pay for additional gift or financial cards. Some conditions apply. Offer valid Saturday, November 6, 2010 to Friday, November 12, 2010. See store for details.

This might be a dumb question but when it says in the fine print that you cannot use a financial card as payment, are they saying you cannot buy these gift cards with a credit card? Do you have to pay with cash only?
ReplyDelete@Hauls and Reviews - I think what they are implying is you can't buy gift cards with gift cards.
