Chocolate Class Action Lawsuit Cadbury, Hershey, Nestle & Mars

Wednesday, September 18, 2013
A new class action lawsuit was passed against Cadbury Adams Canada Inc, Hershey Canada Inc, Nestle Canada Inc and Mars Canada as well as the distributor ITWAL Ltd recently. "The lawsuits claim that the defendants conspired to fix or maintain prices for chocolate products in Canada, causing chocolate buyers to pay artificially high prices for chocolate products."

If you purchased at least $1000 in chocolate products (from the above mentioned brands) between October 1, 2005 to September 31, 2007 you are entitled to $50 reimbursement. You do not need to show proof of the purchases, if no proof is given you are only eligible for $50. If you have proof, your claim will be calculated accordingly. Spouses and children living in the same household can pool their purchases and file a single claim (as one individual). The deadline for claiming compensation is December 15, 2013.

  2. I don't know why they need to have my bank information. Activia had to do the same thing and they didn't require bank info.

  3. I think this is a scam of some sort. Why are they saying you HAVE to give your banking info for this...why not send a cheque to those who have a claim, then they have the stubs for proof. As good as this sounds, I don't trust giving that info out.
