Groupon's popular Starbucks offer is back! For $5 and get a $10 Starbucks Card eGift. This offer is available for a limited time only and while quantities last.I have checked with Groupon and this is US only, to find it you need to search in a US city, otherwise it will not come up (I have a link below for NY).
You can use this gift card in Canada, once processed, you will get the amount via gift card, which you can then add to your account via their app. It seems that you cannot add it to an existing card, because of the currency difference, but you can keep it as a separate card on your account (accounts can have multiple cards). You can also print the voucher and use in-store.
Search for Starbucks after you click on the link below for it to come up!

SAYS USA only
ReplyDeleteIt does but I go over how it can be used in Canada. If you have a Starbucks app, add the amount to an existing card. Or print the voucher and use it in-store. Any problems, please contact Groupon customer service.
DeleteDefinitely usable for Canadian cardholders too! Just purchased one and my sister did too successfully :)
DeleteHas anyone tried this yet? I have always bought the Canadian vouchers through Groupon and they worked seamlessly but I am not sure if this US voucher will add to my existing Canadian SB card.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the find!
ReplyDeleteDoes it charge you in USD since you need to buy it from the US Groupon site?
I've purchased one and it is in USD. You aren't able to combined the amount with a Canadian card (when I tired to I received an error message saying I can't transfer balances of a foreign currency).
ReplyDeleteI checked Starbuck's website and it states that they will convert purchases to local currencies so it should work in Canada.
does not allow to transfer funds to existing SB card ...just got error message that says different market region unable to transfer. I believe if you take the paper copy into the store maybe it's ok. if not i'll be going south soon enough.
ReplyDeleteyou can't add it to an existing card, you have to keep it separate and pay with it that way on your app.
