Earth Hour March 29 8:30-9:30PM

Saturday, March 29, 2014
Are you taking part in Earth Hour? Earth Hour is a a worldwide grassroots movement organized by the WWF uniting people all around the world to raise awareness about protecting the planet, energy conversation and climate change.

Earth Hour is held on Saturday, March 29 between 8:30pm and 9:30pm in your local time zone. During this time, people involved turn off all their lights.

Living in Toronto, I see more and more businesses participate in this event every year. It's neat taking a walk the night of Earth Hour and seeing many of the buildings in the Toronto skyline without their lights turned on. This year, the Toronto Eaton Centre is taking part, and the 187-foot media tower located at the corner of Yonge and Dundas will be turned off during the hour too.
